June 2016 - A Busy Half Term of Competition for Appeti Players

Appeti players were competing last week all over the south East including Buckinghamshire, Parklangley, The Wimbledon Club and Polo Farm in Canterbury!

Will Gee started a great week by winning the 12U South East Junior Tour in Croydon, swiftly followed by Charlie Appeti taking the 8U boys singles title at The East Kent Clay Championships in Canterbury the same day.

Ulrich was busy winning the 10U boys singles at The Parklangley Junior Spring Tournament and then went on to battle through to the 10U finals at a National competition at Gosling Sports Park. Ulrich kept focussed through some tough matches including a fantastic comeback in the semi finals!

Ollie also competed at Parklangley winning the 14U doubles final beating Krishna and David 6-4 6-7 (5-7) 10-7! Earlier in the week Ollie had competed in a Grade 2 Competition in Buckinghamshire and made it through to the quarter finals losing out in a close three set match.

Charlie Appeti also competed at The Parklangley Junior Spring Tournament and made it through to the quarter finals in a draw of 50+ players!

Our success at The East Kent Clay Tournament continued with Joseph Richards winning the 14U draw. He beat Alfie Garrett 1-4 4-2 10-2 in a great final! Joseph then teamed up with Will to win the 14U doubles total beating Louis Temple and Toby Lawton- True 4-2, 4-1 in the final.

So, Appeti Tennis had a brilliant week and now we are back at base building on our successes and looking forward to the Summer Tour!
