An early morning start didn’t put off players from The Appeti Tennis School from heading up to Sutton Tennis Academy’s Autumn tournament and it didn't stop them getting off to an awesome run of matches with 10 matches won out of the 14 matches played on the first day.
Afalina had the stand out match of the first day in the 12U Girls draw, making it through to the Semi Finals by winning a nail biting match in the tie break against Isla Holley 7-5, 3-6, 11-9. Afalina demonstrated lots of fight, great movement and measured shots during the match and it was big cheers for her from the large crowd of Team Appeti spectators that had built up as she had been playing.

Seb, Ulrich and Toby all had great runs in the 12U Boys Draw. All three boys made it through to the Quarter Finals, Seb only lost to the eventual winner Raahim Agha!
A huge well done to Seb and Ulrich who stormed through the 12U Boys Doubles Draw, they knocked out the Number One seeds in an edge of your seat semi finals match, saving two match points. They went on to win the final in a spectacular performance beating Kai-Luca Ampaw and Finbar Mcgarvey 6-3, 7-6. Well done boys!
Mia put in another solid performance through the week to reach the 16U Girls Final losing to the Number One Seed Sally Pethybridge, 6-3, 6-2. Ollie mirrored this result in 16U Boys Draw again only losing to the Number One Seed Ivor Mandic, 6-1, 6-4.
The girls did well in the the 14U and 18U Draws with Marta reaching the Semi Finals of the 14U Girls Draw. Mia went one better and won the 18U Draw 6-3, 6-0, putting in a superior performance over her opponent Alessandra Ruggieri.

In the 14U Boys Ciaran reached the Semi Finals with a powerful and controlled performance.
A great result for Seb, who had some brilliant matches, in the 14U Boys Consolation Draw and won the Final easily 6-1, 6-3 over Robin Mcalpine .
Everyone enjoyed playing on the clay courts and due to the early morning practices they had plenty of time to learn how to sweep and prepare the courts for play each day.
